There is a huge demand for training in the professional beauty industry which is why for so many therapists, the next step in their career is into the training area. Treatment trends come and go, but the demand for training remains constant. Working as a therapist or a nail technician in a salon or in your own business gives you years of valuable experience. You can put this experience to use by training the next generation of beauty professionals. Targeted at beauty therapists, holistic therapists and nail technicians who are new to teaching; the Award in Education and Training is the recognised and accredited UK entry level teaching qualification. 

This course comprises the following modules which must be undertaken in the following order in order to complete the course.

Modules:

1. Online Training

2. Micro Teach Session

How long will it take me to complete the course?

This is a 8 day course delivered online with dedicated tutor support to give you guidance and feedback on your assignments and your lesson plan for the micro teach session (delivered on the last day).

Who should take this course?

Targeted at beauty therapists, holistic therapists and nail technicians who are new to teaching; the Award in Education and Training is the recognised and accredited UK entry level teaching qualification.

Course Requirements:

Students must be prepared to work on an intensive basis over 8 days. The best approach is to work on the tasks every day (usually evenings) and over one weekend.

Course Delivery:

8 Day course delivered online with dedicated tutor support to give you guidance and feedback on your assignments and your lesson plan for the micro teach session (delivered on the last day).

Course Content:

Students are required to read course notes, participate in discussion forums and complete the set assignments / tasks. Tasks include producing a 15 minute lesson plan, presenting the lesson to the rest of the group, evaluation of another micro teach session and then producing a reflective journal summarising your learning experience.

Is the course accredited?

The course is accredited by TQUK.

Is the course accredited for Continuing Professional Development - CPD?

Yes. The course is accredited for Continuing Professional Development by the Guild of Professional Beauty Therapists and is worth 20 CPD points.

Online support is available throughout this course by the tutor assigned to you through MKLC.
